NEW INFO TO HELP WITH SCHOOL VIOLENCE AND TEEN SUICIDE: SAY SOMETHING ANONYMOUS REPORTING SYSTEM
According to a recent report by the American Academy of Pediatrics, twenty- three states have implemented the "Say Something Anonymous Reporting System." This is an app, website, and phone number for students to anonymously report worrisome things which they have observed. The students receive training. They can report things which may indicate possible suicide or school violence. It seems to be working. A study from one state, over the past 4 years, indicates this system may have directly saved 38 lives, and has resulted in over 1000 individuals getting needed help. You can check this out here.
